Phil Chambley K4DPK

Phil and Hannah live in Shannon, Georgia a small town tucked away in the Northwest Conner of the state. Phil has been around the low bands for 53 years and like other radio purist, have too many accomplishments and contributions to the Amateur Radio hobby to list here.
With talent to spare, Phil has built many very nice monster amplifiers along with some small widget. Looking over his available working arsenal of home brew amplifiers, you will see perfection little seen in today’s commercial equipment. Phil is from the old school, he still feels helping others in the hobby is important, unfortunately this is a dying tradition along with available parts and knowledge. I've seen Phil send parts to ham’s to help repair or finish projects that are barley acquaintances. Phil’s abilities easily stand alone with some of the most talented hams of my time.
A senior technical mentor and Dilligas member, Phil has complimented the group with witty humor for over 25 years. Retired from the Textiles/Fibers industry, Phil sports over fifty patents to date, in that industry. These days he works in his shop working on amplifier projects and repairing amateur gear for friends. If all this wasn’t enough, Phil finds time to manufacture, support and market an assortment of equipment modification circuits such as fully assembled VFO stabilizers, Watt Meter PEP Adapters and a host of other consulting disciplines.
You can see all of Phil’s offerings at http://home.comcast.net/~k4dpk/ including his shack mascot CECIL the cat.
